The Club celebrates 30 years!
It’s Pearl for Zonta Club of Cebu II!
Elegant in their Filipiniana attire, members of Zonta Club of Cebu II jubilantly celebrated their 30 years of active involvement as a club at the Cebu Country Club.
A solemn thanksgiving mass started the event with Msgr Ting Ancajas officiating. A fitting tribute to the past fifteen (15) Presidents for the past 30 years was one of the highlights of the night.
Gracing the affair were IPP Olivia Ferry, as our Guest Speaker, Past DG Imelda Gomez and District Treas Primitiva Perez Sison with our partners at the Pink Center and government agencies, members of the Press, friends, husbands and family members.
Outstanding Zontians of Cebu II were honored onstage by Club Pres Myrna and handed Certificates of Recognitions for their various professional achievements in the national level. These members who made us proud are: Cynthia Dagus, Outstanding Librarian of the Year, Dame Odette Jereza (our event host) for receiving the Dame of the Order of St. Sylvester and Grace Paras as Toastmaster’s District Governor.
A sumptuous dinner, video presentation of the Club’s thirty years of energetic community service, a “Miligoy de Cebu” dance number by the members, “I am Woman” sing-along and finally, dancing complemented by a live band and dance instructors topped off the memorable evening! It was truly bonding time which fostered greater ties with our sister Zontians
