“Let’s Help Each Other,” A Puppet Caravan on Gender Sensitivity

Since the beginning of June 2014, all the Z club members grouped themselves, made their individual puppets and scripts with the theme on how families can promote gender sensitivity. With the completion of these tasks, the club organized a contest so that the best-presented puppet show will be the emissary for the Z club’s advocacy on gender sensitivity for the community.

Some members of the Zonta Club of Cebu II, local librarians, and educators judged the contest.

The winning group started its first puppet show, Let’s Help Each Other last October 2014 with a group of 45 students. A monthly puppet show activity was done in the next months that followed. It is the goal of all the members that the recipients of this activity will realize the important roles that families play in understanding gender sensitivity and equality among males and females.
