“ Success comes with challenges and adversities ”

My term as President of Zonta Club of Cebu II started during the time when Cebu suffered devastation due to a strong typhoon. It was a time when our commitment to help our needy fellowmen was put to test. We reached out to them with much conviction that we are there during their time of need.

Then came our second biggest challenge – when Ormoc suffered with the now “ unthinkable ” flash floods killing about 3,000 people. Our kind – hearted Zontians helped with much passion raising funds, donating food, clothing and sending (10) orphans to school.

I was given the title “ President of Calamities ”, but with much pride it meant that Zonta made a difference in peoples’ lives.
