Raising the level of awareness through a series of Para- legal seminars for our service providers Women Police Desk Officers (city and province) - Laws for Empowerment (Women and Children).

As front liners in responding to incidences of violence against women and children there is a need to know and understand the laws crafted to protect women and children so that immediate interventions and services shall be implemented expediently. Some of the laws that were studied we're:

RA 9262 - Anti - Violence Against Women and Children
RA 9710 - Magna Carta of Women
RA 8353 - Anti - Rape Law of 1997
RA 7610 - Protection on Children ( Abuse and Exploitation)
RA 9208 - Human trafficking

Zonta Club of Cebu II is a Zonta International club in Cebu, Philippines, advancing the status of women and girls through service, advocacy and community partnerships. Our work focuses on women’s empowerment, education, family literacy, solo parent support, livelihood opportunities, community development, and ending violence against women and girls, helping build stronger families and more resilient communities in Cebu and beyond.
