Eight members from Zonta Club of Cebu II attended the 61st International Convention in Torino, Italy last July 7-12, 2012. The club has 2 voting members who participated during the election and the voting done on the business sessions. Our very own Zontian Elena Young, was sworn in as District 17’s Nominating Committee Member.
The entourage was well represented by Club President Myrna C. Tan, IPP Jane Llaban, Club Recording Sec Petite Garcia, Club Correspondence Sec Ela Basubas, Directors Filna Espina, Elena Young, Flor Miel, and Member Liza Young. It was a time to mingle and to renew friendship with Zontians worldwide. Much more importantly, it offered us “front seat” ride to experience first hand how Zonta International is making headway to advance the status and lives of women worldwide.
Our feathered and beaded “Sinulog” native costume drew raves during the International costume night.
