Zonta Club of Cebu II mounts massive information campaign to stop violence against women

The City Government of Mandaue through its partner NGO, the Zonta Club of Cebu II continues with its commemoration of the 18 Days of Activism to eliminate violence against women in the community.   Part of the campaign is massive information dissemination calling the public to stop violence in all its forms targeted at women and children.

Zonta Club of Cebu II installed more than 50 banners of 3ft x 5ft.  This is a campaign to stop violence against women in line with the 18 Days of Activism of advocating women empowerment and eliminating violence in our communities.

Abay sa Kahayag program headed by Zontian Dr. Elsa Basubas taps traditional tri-media and especially targets social media as a source to spread information and other collateral materials.

Mayor Jonas Cortes gives full support for a more inclusive City onward equality among all constituents in Mandaue City.  “Until the violence stops, we will continue to use all our resources for Gender and Development programs in Mandaue and push for equality for all,” he said.
