As the school year comes to a close, we proudly wrap up another successful chapter of Alimbukad: Basa Pamilya for SY 2023-24. At Alimbukad, we firmly believe that the love of learning and reading can transform lives. We understand that preparing children for school and fostering a deep love for reading begins at home, with parents serving as the first and most influential teachers.
From October 2023 to March 2024, Alimbukad circulated nearly 3,000 children’s books for Kindergarten to Grade 1 students among 500 families across our three partner schools. Through our monthly sessions, the program provided over 25 hours of parenting skills training and parent-child activities, enriching the educational experience for both children and their families.
As Alimbukad concludes its 9th year of partnership with Guadalupe Elementary School (Cebu City), Cabancalan 1 Elementary School (Mandaue), and Poo Elementary School (Olango), the Zonta Club Cebu II commends the dedication of the Alimbukad teachers in our partner schools and the unwavering support of their principals and staff.
