On September 27, 2024, the 1st Alimbukad Session at Cabancalan 1 Elementary School was a heartwarming and productive event, where the Ladies of Zonta Club of Cebu II taught parents how to read aloud and sing lullabies to their young children. The session created a supportive environment that highlighted the importance of bonding through reading and creativity.
Dads also played an active role by guiding their kids in crafting beautifully hand-made messages to present to their moms. This hands-on activity fostered family unity and encouraged creative expression, further strengthening the bond between parents and their children.
A special highlight of the afternoon was Zn. Sarah Enclona-Henderson reading aloud the beloved book, Love You Forever, followed by leading the group in singing lullabies. The event was supported by 2Kares members, who attended to observe this impactful initiative, and organized by Ms. Belle in collaboration with the superwomen teachers of Cabancalan 1 Elementary School.
The session was a beautiful reminder of the power of reading and creativity in enriching the lives of young learners. Together, the community is inspiring the next generation and bringing joy to families through shared learning experiences.
