Soaring High: ZONTA Club of Cebu 2 Champions Solo Parents with WINGS

In a grand celebration of International Women’s Month, the ZONTA Club of Cebu 2 proudly launched its latest initiative, WINGS—an inspiring acronym for Women in Nurturing Growth & Support. This groundbreaking project is dedicated to uplifting and empowering solo parents, perfectly encapsulated by the uplifting slogan: "Anyone can fly; all you need is try."

The event was a spectacle of unity and empowerment as participants adorned in vibrant shades of purple and pink transformed Fuente Osmeña and the streets leading to Plaza La Independencia into a breathtaking sea of lavender and rose hues.

Members of ZONTA Club of Cebu 2 made a bold statement, donning their signature purple attire complete with matching wings, symbolizing their commitment to the WINGS initiative. Adding an exhilarating touch to the occasion, three dynamic women—February, Irene, and Jo—made a grand entrance on their roaring Harley Davidson bikes. Clad in purple shirts with striking white angel wings, these spirited lady bikers embodied both strength and femininity, captivating the crowd with their powerful display of confidence and camaraderie.

Their presence served as a striking reminder that empowerment comes in many forms. The roaring Harleys, the angelic wings, and the collective spirit of the women in attendance highlighted the essence of support, strength, and sisterhood.

The launch of WINGS marks a significant step in ZONTA Club of Cebu 2’s ongoing mission to uplift women, particularly solo parents, by fostering a supportive and growth-oriented community.
