Our indefatigable and compassionate sister, Zontian February Ann Canoy of the Zonta Club of Cebu II, joined hands with the Harley Owners Group (HOG) Cebu Chapter and the Rotary Club of Talamban for a ten-hour humanitarian journey filled with purpose, empathy, and unwavering dedication.
Braving long hours on the road and heavy traffic, the team was determined to deliver relief goods and essential supplies to families in the northern towns of Cebu—communities that were among the hardest hit by the recent Cebu earthquake. Their mission was not only to provide assistance but also to bring comfort and hope to those affected.
This initiative marks the first wave of relief operations under TABANG NORTE, a program made possible through the generous donations and united efforts of Zontians across the Areas of District 17. What began as an act of service quickly became a powerful testament to compassion in action—a living example of Zonta’s enduring mission to empower, uplift, and serve communities in need.
Through TABANG NORTE, these dedicated volunteers reminded us that true service knows no distance—and that when hearts are driven by kindness, every mile becomes a mission of hope.
Thank you to all the Zontians, partners, and donors who made this journey possible. Together, we prove that when compassion drives our purpose, even the longest road can lead to healing and hope.
